Mr. Old Vine Red

July 16, 2011

Mr. Old Vine Red went down on a beautiful sunny day, while enjoying a juicy rib eye steak and creamy russet potatoes. He lived on Lot 54 in Geyserville, Sonoma County, California.

Mr. Old Vine lived between the ripe red cherry trees of his family's estate and acres of rolling countryside. When he was young, he could be hot around the collar, but he mellowed with time. He was widowed many years ago and is survived by three children and two siblings.

Mr. Old Vine loved to be around people. He had a variety of friends and blended easily with others. He worked in the fruit and spice industry and retired young.

Retired life suited him well. Mr. Old Vine's dark plum personality was the color of any party. He loved telling spicy jokes that tingled the tongue. "Life is best swirled," he would say.

He'll be remembered by his famiily, his dog Zin and his good friends, the Marietta family.
