Appellation Corbières Controlée
$12
Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France
Castelmaure, vinter
50% Carignan, 35% Grenache, 15% Syrah
notes from cheapwinefinder:
the nose is plum and dried cherry with a bit of black pepper. the first flavors are tart red berries, followed by tea and chocolate-covered cherries. the mid-palate brings softer plum and spice, the finsh keeps going on and on. the tannins are light, but there's plenty of structure and balance. try with pork.
