Riesling Kabinett Forster Mariengarten 2009

Brought this wine to thanksgiving day dinner. i didn't have time to really focus on the wine, but i preferred it to the red that i brought (cino 2009). the wine was light and simple. it lacked nuance, depth & richness. there was little connection btwn the sweetness and the acidity: poorly integrated, they were separate and distinct and lacked the capacity to mingle. there was little depth; no layered flavors. food helped to mask the deficiencies and made a good accompaniment to a dinner where the focus was not on the wine. good value and good beginner kabinett. would not buy again.
